Deploying a DokuWiki Application

In this guide you will learn how to deploy a DokuWiki application on an existing Server or on a new Server

Prerequisites

This guide presumes you have a Bunnyshell account and that you've successfully connected your cloud. If you have't connected your cloud yet, check out the following guide:

Deploying DokuWiki on a new Server

Press the top right Create button and choose to create a new Application. Type your Application Name and your Application Domain. If you leave the application domain empty, Bunnyshell will assign a .bunnyroute.com subdomain to your application. You can always change your domain later.

Add your Server name and choose the server Location.

Locations are Cloud specific so you will always see different locations depending on the Cloud. Choose the closest location to your end users for increased speed.

Choose the production or the development Environment for your server.

This guide focuses on Single Server DokuWiki deployments, so we will continue with the Single value for the Infrastructure type.

From the next section, select the DokuWiki application. You can choose a specific version you want to deploy, or you can use the latest version. The next field refers to the package combination you want to use for your application. You can choose between three options: LAMP and use Apache as your web server, LEMP to use Nginx and LAMP + Varnish + Nginx. The quickest option is to use LAMP.

You can customize each package version from the Select Package Version.

Your database and your static files will be installed on the same server as your web server, so make sure you have enough space. Choose the Root disk type and the Root disk size.

Choose an appropriate Server Instance Size for your instance.

Hit the Create Application button and you're done! Now it's time to wait for the application to be provisioned.

Deploying DokuWiki on an existing Server

Go to the Servers section in the left menu and Click on the Server you want to add the application to. Go to the Applications in the upper Server menu and hit Add new Application. Select Add Application from Marketplace and select the DokuWiki application.

Type your Application Name and your Application Domain. If you leave the application domain empty, Bunnyshell will assign a .bunnyroute.com subdomain to your application. You can always change your domain later. Choose a specific DokuWiki version you want to deploy or use latest.

Bunnyshell will check what packages are installed on your server to determine what needs to be installed. By default Apache, PHP 7.3 and MySQL 5.7 are installed. If you want to use different packages, consider deploying DokuWiki on a new Server explained above.

Hit the Create Application button and you're done! Now it's time to wait for the application to be provisioned.

Accessing your new DokuWiki app

You will be redirected to the server main page. Wait for the Server is updating. View real-time logs for more information banner to disappear. After that, go to the Applications section from the upper server menu and click on the application FQDN.

If you used a Custom Domain, follow the Accessing your Application guide:
